Trailer Double Eye Leaf Springs

Trailer leaf springs used with solid beam axles are a traditional and widely used form of suspension. They are very strong and will withstand use in arduous conditions. If a leaf in the spring does fracture it can easily be repaired or the spring replaced. They are all 2" wide and have bushes in the eyes at both ends which are greased once assembled with shackle pins. They are available in a range of capacities and lengths for use with one or two axles and come complete with the shackle equipment necessary to attach them to a chassis and axle.

If the springs are being used for a twin axle trailer application they can be used either in tandem or close coupled:

Tandem fitting - Both pairs of springs are attached to the trailer chassis without being linked to each other.

Close coupled - The two spring eyes nearest the middle are joined through a centre balance beam. If this arrangement is used the width between the axles is governed by the spring length.
